Oh the places he’ll go… When I found out that a childhood friend of mine was having a baby, I felt so excited! I felt honored to decorate for her bridal shower and I knew just the idea… a vintage hot air balloon baby shower.
My reason for choosing this theme could be a bit wrapped up in my childhood fantasy. I’ve always dreamed of riding in a hot air balloon. Here’s my dream party! Thanks to Katie Grace Photography for letting me share her photos!

Hot Air Balloon Baby Shower Decorations
My favorite elements of this party are the rustic wooden backdrop and the cloud cupcakes! I just loved to see how all the little details come together!
When I’m planning a party, I tend to outside the box and let my creative juices flow. I created my own hot air balloon centerpieces, banners, and hot air balloon lanterns using items I found in my craft tote!

Party Snacks
A baby shower isn’t complete without yummy party snacks! My favorite party snack is the delicious chocolate cupcakes with cloud frosting. Other party foods included, cake, chips, vegetables & dip, candy, and punch.

Kids’ Activities
Hot air balloon party favors filled with candy and coloring sheets kept the children entertained while the adults enjoyed themselves and ate delicious snacks.

Hot Air Balloon Guest book
A guest book is a treasured keepsake at every baby shower. A hot air balloon with the guests fingerprints and their signatures served as a loving memory of all the family and friends who came to this special occasion.

I hope your feel inspired to throw your own hot air balloon baby shower. This theme was so fun to design! Feel free to check out my Monkey themed baby shower ideas for more inspiration!

Thanks Corrine! This was one of my first parties and I still enjoy looking back at it.
I’m so in love with the hot air balloons! I’ve had a fascination with them too but have never done it. I might just have to volunteer for the next baby shower that comes my way!
I love this theme! Cute idea!
I love the travel theme. I thought about that for my daughter, but went a different direction in the end. Guess I will have to try it for my niece!
Aren’t hot air balloons fun? I’d love to go for a balloon ride eventually!
Thank you Jessica!

Could you please tell me what are the backdrops on the table ?
Small size shipping pallets ?
If so could you please help give me the place you purchased them ?
Hello, it’s been years since I did this set up, but I think I just found them at my parents in the barn. Probably something had had laying around the old farm place.
I am not sure if you could purchase something like this or not.
