Valentine’s Day is just around the corner! To celebrate, my husband and I enjoyed a date night at home. We played chess and snacked on a yummy charcuterie board. It’s so easy to plan your own date night. I’ll be sharing a few ideas to set up your own charcuterie board!
I’ve always admired meat “roses” so I thought I’d make my own! I used proscuitto italiano, which wasn’t the right shape. I would recommend buying round shaped salami. You can find a tutorial here.
All you need are a few yummy snacks!
-Harvarti cheese
-Colby jack cheese hearts
-Cheddar cheese cubes
-Cranberry white cheddar cheese
-Bite size salami
-Proscuitto Italiano (meat rose)
-Pita crackers (garlic & chive)
-Thin wheat crackers
-Raspberries
-Almonds
-Heart lava cakes (Belmont brand)
-Palmer’s double crisp chocolate hearts
-Hershey’s chocolate kisses
Gather your snacks and arrange them on a cheese board board in a fun way! There’s really no specific rules but I like to cluster each kind of food together. For example, I placed clusters of cheddar cheese in on area and so on. Add a touch of red for Valentine’s Day and you have a cute set up!
My husband and I like to try new flavors of sparkling water. Flavored L’orange Perrier water tasted great with your savory and sweet snacks!
A charcuterie board is so perfect for an at home date night! It’s easy to set up your own. Just head to the store and find your favorite savory and sweet snacks.
