Hello friends! Does your child love unicorns? This past year, my daughter turned 6 and she loves Unicorns. We wanted to do something special for her, so we planned a Unicorn birthday party. I hope you enjoy the details!

Unicorn Ice Cream Bar
When I’m planning a party, I try to think outside the box and offer snacks that are non-traditional. Although cake and cupcakes are tasty, it’s always fun to try something new!
To make it easy for the guests, I set up a self serve ice cream bar with a bunch of yummy toppings. The kids had a blast serving up their own ice cream!
Toppings:
-Sprinkles
-M & M’s
-Maraschino Cherries
-Whipped Cream

Coffee Punch is one of my all time favorite drinks and so I had to make it myself! Here’s a recipe that my Mother-in-law gave me. Enjoy!
Coffee Punch Recipe
-1/2 Cup Instant Coffee Granules
-3/4 Cup Sugar
-1 Cup Hot Water
-1 Cup Cool Water
-1 Gallon of Milk
-1 Pint of French Vanilla Creamer
-1/2 Gallon Vanilla Ice Cream
Boil hot water, sugar and instant coffee in a pot over medium heat until dissolved. Take off of the heat. Add cool water, Milk, and French Vanilla Creamer. Stir together for a minute or so and add a scoops of ice cream just before serving. Enjoy! (Makes about 1.5-2 gallons of punch)
*Tip: You can substitute the creamer for any other flavor that you enjoy.
Unicorn Party Decorations
My favorite party decoration is this Unicorn head pinata. It was pretty simple make and fit nicely with my other decorations!
Decorating for a party doesn’t have to be extravagant. In order to keep it simple, I used balloons, streamers and paper lanterns to accent the party table. Before you head out to the store, check to see if you have any party supplies on hand first.
Oh and I can’t forget to share these super cute free unicorn printables by Darlene Meier, a creative lifestyle blogger.
Kids’ Activity Corner
Normally kids are pretty easy to please when it comes to entertainment. I like to keep it simple and so I put together a kids coloring corner with Unicorn coloring sheets.
All I did was cover a kids’ table with a white paper so they could color and draw on the table too.
I hope my unicorn ice cream party ideas inspired you to plan and decorate your own party. All it takes is a bit of creativity!
