Terms & Conditions

Please read through my terms & conditions if you are planning to hire me to decorate for your event. I reserve the right to make changes at anytime. Thank you. 


Booking a party must be done 1 month before the event. 


I accept cash, money orders or Paypal. 

Clients pay 50% of party styling costs within 7 days of receiving an invoice. I require the a full payment 2 weeks before the event occurs. (the due date)


Joy in the Commonplace will not be responsible for injury or damage to persons or property involving the goods or products we offer. 

Liability for damaged, lost or stole items

The client is responsible to pay in full for any damaged or broken serving platters, glassware or rental items. 


Requests for cancellation must be handwritten or by e-mail. Client may cancel event within 3 business days after paying the deposit and receive a complete refund. After this point, the client will not be refunded the 50% deposit. 

In the unlikely event that I need to cancel my services, a full refund will be given of the money paid.


I reserve the right to post any photographs I take of my parties on my website or for advertising purposes. Client’s may not edit my photos or change them in anyway. These photos are under copyright of Joy in the Commonplace. I will not take pictures of your or your guests and post them without your permission. 

All concepts, designs and handmade decorations remain the property of Joy in the Commonplace.

Setup & Take Down

I need at least 2 ours prior to the event to set up and decorate. Also, I will need 1 hour after the event to take it down.
