Are you hosting Thanksgiving this year? I’ve got ya covered. I’m sharing tips to help you decorate your own Thanksgiving tablescape! Seriously, you it doesn’t take a lot of effort to make your feel table festive and inviting! I hope you find a few ideas to get started.
use items you have on hand!
You know those totes of decorations that are collecting dust in the basement? Dig through those before your head to the store to buy anything!
Fortunately, I had a quite a few fall decorations on hand that worked perfectly for my tablescape! It’s amazing what you can create using mostly the items in your home.
Create a DIY centerpiece
It’s nice to break out a classic Thanksgiving table centerpiece like a cornucopia! One year, I decided to make my own and it was a lot of fun. Click here to find the easy DIY tutorial!
To accent my centerpiece, I decorated with a burlap table runner, wooden pedestals, and woodsy decorations!
shop the dollar stores!
I’m known to shop at the Dollar Tree or the Dollar General quite frequently. I’ve found things like glasses, paper goods, plates and holiday decorations! Seriously, if you want to keep the costs down, my advice would be to check out the dollar stores for fall decor or dishes!
keep the place settings simple
Let’s talk place settings. There’s no need to buy extra dishes to style a table! My place settings consisted of dishes that I had in the cupboards already. Napkins were the only extra thing I bought.
If you want to add something special to each place setting, you could include these mini caramel apple pie party favors.
I hope you feel inspired to decorate a Thanksgiving tablescape this year. Honestly, it’s pretty easy to decorate a festive table and make Thanksgiving feel extra special. Have a blessed holiday season!
