Do you love Mint milk shakes? If you do, you’ll love my homemade Shamrock Shake recipe. My first experience trying the Shamrock Shake was at McDonald’s and let me tell you, they are delicious.
McD’s only serves these shakes for a limited time, so I made my own homemade version to make anytime. Shamrock Shakes make a delicious afternoon snack for the kids, or a perfect drink to enjoy during movie night at home. Let’s get started!

St. Patrick's Day Shamrock Shake
Ingredients
- 4 Cups Vanilla Ice Cream
- 2 Cups Milk
- 1/8 Tsp. Mint Essential Oil (or Mint Extract)
- Green Food Coloring
- Whip Cream
- Gold Sprinkles
- Lucky Charms
Instructions
- Mix ice cream, milk, Mint essential oil (or extract), & green food coloring in a blender.
- You may need to add more or less milk depending on how thick you want your shake.
- Top with whip cream & Lucky Charms.
- Add gold sprinkles to the rim of the glass. To stick the sprinkles to the rim, I rubbed honey on the rim of the glass and dipped the glass in sprinkles.
