If you are planning a kids’ party, there’s no need to go all out. The main thing is the kids have fun and enjoy some yummy treats. Let’s dive into the details!
Valentine’s Day Party Snacks
Most of my favorite recipes are finger foods. Since I have 5 kids, I’m always thinking.. What will be easy for the kids to eat?
The party treats include heart shaped soft pretzels, party pinata cupcakes (with sprinkles inside) and Valentine’s Day chocolate bark. All of these were super yummy and easy to make.
I found these delicious party pinata cupcakes over at Sallie’s Baking Addiction blog and believe me, I’m addicted already!
These cupcakes have sprinkles on the INSIDE and sprinkles on the top. It’s like a sprinkles paradise! Add some heart marshmallows to the top and you are good to go!
These cupcakes looked dashing on my Amalfi Decor cake stand! These stands come in an assortment of colors and they are perfect for dessert tables or birthday parties.
If you haven’t used Shop Sweets and Treats cupcake liners, you definitely should check them out. I can’t say enough good things about them.
Isn’t that mini cupcake holder cute? It added just the touch I needed to beautify my cupcakes!
Have you tried chocolate bark before? This stuff is seriously so easy to make! Click here to read the full recipe!
Fill up a few treat cups with chocolate bark, and you have a yummy snack to serve your guests. Treat cups are so handy because you can use them for popcorn, candy, trail mix and more!
Another fun idea is sweet soft pretzels!! I just can’t get enough of these! I used a soft pretzel recipe from Mel’s Kitchen Cafe to make the dough.
Then I shaped the dough into hearts and added sprinkles and chocolate drizzle. To make these sweeter, I skipped the salt and butter.
These pretzels are seriously so yummy and they would be a hit at any Valentine’s party! Plus I can’t get over how cute they looked my Amalfi Decor cake stand!
Valentine’s Day Party Decorations
My ideal party has a cute theme and it’s simple to decorate! This “sprinkled with love” Valentine’s party fits the bill perfectly. To create this look, I decorated with sprinkles and hearts all throughout the set up!
One of my favorite ways to serve drinks is these glass milk bottles. Then I added a bit of twine, pom pom trim and hearts. You can find most of the embellishments at the Dollar Tree or Target Dollar Spot!
In my opinion, cute heart straws should be a requirement when hosting a Valentine’s party. They add such a fun detail and the kids love ’em!
For a yummy drink, I served Rasberry Lemonade Gatorade. Gatorade comes in so many colors and it’s fun to match it to the party decorations.
Let’s talk about my favorite party decoration: the DIY sprinkles balloon backdrop. This backdrop was so simple to make! All I did was follow the instructions over at Oh Happy Day blog.
I found the pencil balloons at Walmart. I bought bags of balloons with assorted colors and used only the pink and white ones for this project!
Valentine’s Activities for Kids
For a fun and easy kids’ activity, create your own card making station to go along with Valentine’s party. My kids enjoyed using sticker hearts, markers and glitter glue to create Valentine’s cards for some one special!
Thanks so much for following along!! I hope these easy Valentine’s Day treats and party decorations inspire you to plan your next party!
