Are you looking for easy dessert ideas for the 4th of July? I’m all for making easy recipes to please a crowd. So here’s my new favorite.. Patriotic mini trifles! They were the perfect dessert to match my patriotic dessert table.
Patriotic Berry and Banana Cream Mini Trifles

Supplies you need
-Package of 9 oz. Clear Solo Cups
-Loaf of Angel Food Cake
-2- 3.4 oz. Banana Cream Pudding Boxes
-16 oz. Package of Strawberries
-12 – 16 oz. Package of Blueberries
-Whipped Topping
–Red Spoons
Prepare the Ingredients
First, make your pudding according to the package instructions. Then wash the berries and slice the strawberries into small slivers.
Next, slice up your angel food cake into bite size cubes.
Begin Layering your Ingredients
Start filling each cup with the food ingredients and layer like so from the bottom to top:
-Banana Cream Pudding
-Angel Food Cake Pieces
-Strawberries
-Whip Cream
-Blue Berries
-Banana Cream
-Whip Cream Topped & Berries
Serve to Your Guests
That’s it! Now just serve up the mini trifles to your guests! If you don’t plan to serve these right away, they will keep ok in the fridge for a few hours. I’d recommend topping these off with whipped cream and berries right before you serve.

Patriotic Berry and Banana Cream Mini Trifles
Ingredients
- 1 Package Clear 9 oz Solo Cups
- 1 Loaf Angel Food Cake
- 2 3.4 oz Packages Banana Cream Pudding
- 16 Oz. Blueberries
- 16 Oz. Strawberries
- 1 Spray Can Whipped Topping
- 6-8 Red Re-Usable Spoons
Instructions
- First take out a whisk and medium size bowl. Make the pudding according to the package instructions and add the appropriate amount of milk. Mix up the pudding until it is set up.
- Next, rinse the berries. Then cut up the strawberries into slices. Next cut up the angel food cake into bite size squares.
- Begin layering the ingredients into each cup. Starting from the bottom, layer banana cream pudding, angel food cake squares, strawberries, whip cream, blueberries, & banana cream. Top the layers with whip cream and fresh berries. Serve to your guests.
Such a pretty dessert that looks delicious! My kiddos love individual cups like this and I love those re-usable spoons.
