HOW TO MAKE “MOON” CHOCOLATE COVERED OREOS
Do your kids love to help in the kitchen? This recipe is the perfect one to let them get involved! To make these yummy chocolate covered oreos, all you need are a few basic ingredients!
GATHER INGREDIENTS
-Package of Oreos
–Blue Astronaut Edible Stickies & Matching Sprinkles
–12 oz. White Wilton Candy Melts
GATHER SUPPLIES
-Cookie Sheet
-Parchment Paper
-Fork
MELT THE CHOCOLATE!
Wilton candy melts work great for dipping Oreos! Just microwave the melts at 30 second intervals. My chocolate was a little thick so I mixed in melted shortening to create a thinner consistency.
DIP THE OREOS!
Using a fork, dip each Oreo into the chocolate, covering the cookie completely. Tap the fork on the edge of the bowl to drip off excess chocolate and place the cookies onto the parchment paper.
DECORATED THE OREOS!

Top off your cookies with astronaut edible stickers before the chocolate sets up.
Let the chocolate harden completely for about 10 minutes.
SERVE AND ENJOY!

Outer Space "Moon" Chocolate Covered Oreos
Ingredients
- 12 oz Wilton Candy Melts
- 16 Oreos
- 2 Sheets Blue Astronaut Edible Stickies
- 2 Oz. Color Matched Confetti Crunch sprinkles
Instructions
- Gather the ingredients. Take out a cookie sheet and cover it with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, microwave the chocolate melts at 30 second intervals.
- Dip the Oreos into the chocolate using a fork. Tap on the edge of the bowl to let the extra chocolate drip off and place the Oreos on the parchment paper.
- Add sprinkles and edible stickers while the chocolate is still wet. Let the chocolate harden. Serve and enjoy!
