Each year at Easter, my husband and I host an Easter egg hunt for the kids. One of our favorite traditions is hiding a few golden eggs for the kids to find. We fill the golden eggs with special prizes! The kids love to see who can find the golden eggs!
Since I am so practical, I often buy the kids sand buckets to use for collecting their eggs! Easter “buckets” are so handy because the kids can use them in their sand box all summer!
Sand buckets would be great Easter baskets to fill up with goodies for the kids! If you need Easter basket ideas (that aren’t actually baskets), A Hundred Affections blog shares all about it!
Traditionally, we fill a bunch of Easter eggs with candy and hide them around yard! To add to the fun, we fill a few golden eggs with money hidden inside! If you want to be unique, you could fill the eggs with $2 bills or dollar/half dollar coins.
Sometimes the most simple Easter traditions are the best ones! We enjoy hiding a few golden eggs each year and the kids love it! If you’re hosting an Easter party, be sure to check out 15 Inspiring Easter Party Ideas!

I love this! We also do the golden eggs with money. It’s so fun and less sugar. We had a hard time finding $2 bills so we ended up using the half dollars but it was such a fun surprise for the kids. This is a tradition they’ll remember forever!
That’s so fun Bri! Half dollars are so fun to find!
