Are you hosting a Halloween party this year? As a mom of 5 under the age of 9, I’m always looking for cute decorations and easy food ideas! Just for fun, I decorated a not so spooky Halloween tablescape for my kids! All of the food and decorations were kid-friendly and fun! Let’s dive into the details!
Thanks to the Party Darling Shop for gifting us these cute Halloween decorations!
Create a Halloween balloon backdrop!
I’m a sucker for Halloween balloons. They made the cutest backdrop for my tablescape and they were easy to install! Bonus! All I did was use clear packing tape to attach the bat and “boo” letters to the wall. I hung the ghost from the ceiling using fishing line.
the cutest place settings… ever!
I’ve never thought about bats as being cute until now! Could these bat plates get any cuter? They matched just perfectly with the ghost napkins and cups!
At each place setting, I set out a party favor bag for my kids to enjoy!
Each favor bag was filled with goodies and candy that I found at the Dollar Tree. They really have a great selection of Halloween goods!
Set up a finger foods charcuterie board
As a mom of littles, I’m always looking for easy food options to serve my family. I came up a few finger food ideas and displayed them in a fun way!
In our household, ranch and other dips are a must-have! Ramekins made the best serving dishes for the ranch, honey mustard and ketchup!
Spooky chicken “fingers” were such a hit with my kids! I displayed them in baking cups and embellished them with almond slices to look like fingernails.
My kids will never say no to pigs in a blanket! To try something fun, I made “mummy dogs” instead! Just cut store bought biscuit dough into thin strips, wrap it around the hot dogs, and bake them!
Jack-O-Lanterns are a classic Halloween decoration! So why not make jack-o-lantern sweet potatoes? They were pretty tasty and easy to make.
To spruce up my platter for Halloween, I decorated with plastic spiders that I found at the Dollar Tree!
You can’t go wrong with pumpkin decorations! Cloth pumpkins from the Target Dollar Spot and spray painted pumpkins added a fun element to my tablescape. If you spray paint your pumpkins, a little glitter would be a cute addition! Check out my DIY tutorial for glitter Halloween pumpkins!
That’s all there is to it! I hope you found a few ideas to decorate your own Halloween tablescape! Keep it simple with easy finger foods that kids will love! Looking for more not so spooky party ideas? Check out my modern kids’ Halloween party on the blog!
