Our daughter Kalani loves puppies, so she chose a puppy themed 7th birthday party! While we were camping, I set up a puppy themed s’mores tray and a simple balloon garland. We all enjoyed roasting marshmallows and making s’mores by the fire! I’m giving away the free printables to help you set up your own party!

Believe it or not, I had a super hard time finding puppy party supplies at stores! So I made my own puppy party printables to match the balloon garland.
How to Make a Puppy themed balloon garland
At first I felt skeptical about making a balloon garland while camping but I just went for it! It was really pretty easy. I packed a few “extras” into our luggage!
Supplies
-pink, black and white balloons
–number “7” balloon
-balloon pump
–balloon arch strip
-fishing line
-scissors
-clear packing tape
–free paw print printables
First I blew up my balloons using a balloon pump. Then I attached the balloons to a balloon arch strip. Once my balloon garland was finished, I tied it to a tree using fishing line!
To dress up my balloon garland, I attached printable paw prints and a “7” balloon using clear masking tape! Super easy!
If you’d like to use the printable “celebrate” banner, just print it off, punch holes at the top corners, and thread twine through the holes.
DIY puppy themed s’mores tray
Who doesn’t like s’mores? My kids are crazy about them. Of course I included the typical s’mores ingredients but I had to throw in a couple fun ideas as well!
Cotton candy is always a hit with kids right? Plus it made the perfect s’mores ingredient and it remind me of “puppy fur”.
What dog doesn’t love a bone? To create a fun dog themed treat, I cut out brownies into dog bones using a cookie cutter! This idea would be cute for a Paw Patrol Skye party as well.
Why the starbursts, you might be wondering? My family and I like to roast starbursts over the fire, until they are a bit soft and chewy. Mostly the kids just ate them plain. Whatever works!
Top the goodies off with printable paw prints to create a fun puppy theme! Just attach them to a tooth pick using clear tape. The paw prints would make cute cupcake toppers too!
Although having a party while camping isn’t ideal, it worked out just fine! I was able to use the picnic table and fire pit that were available at our camp site. This theme would also be great for a backyard party or event at the park.
Now onto the best part, roasting marshmallows! Can you guess which kind of s’more the birthday girl chose? A cotton candy s’more of course!! Yum!
I hope you feel inspired to throw a puppy themed birthday party. It doesn’t have to be extravagant to be super cute! Don’t forget to grab the free puppy party printables before you go!
