Are you planning a kids’ birthday party soon? My daughter turned 9 in March and she chose a frog themed birthday party! (she’s obsessed with frogs!) This theme is great for boys or girls. I’ll be sharing easy party food ideas, cute frog decorations and where to find frog party supplies! Let’s hop right into the details!
Paper Eskimo provided the cute party supplies! Mimi’s Dollhouse provided the amazing frog party printables!
Frog themed dessert table
My goal was to decorate a simple and cute dessert table! To set the scene, I created a backdrop using green and white streamers! A name banner from Mimi’s Dollhouse accented the backdrop just right.
I’m loving my white melamine cake stands from Paper Eskimo! The stands can be disassembled for easy storage!
Frog themed cupcakes
Are you a cupcake or cake fan? Normally I love to make cupcakes for my kids’ birthdays. To try something different, I baked the cupcakes in baking cups from Paper Eskimo! These baking cups are amazing! They are made with eco-friendly material and food safe ink. Plus the grease doesn’t show through!
To save time, I made these cupcakes using store bought green cake mix and buttercream frosting from Alma’s Culinary Company. I found these in the baking isle at Walmart! Cupcake toppers from Mimi’s Dollhouse were the perfect accent!
Lily pad cookies
To create a simple lily pad cookie, I baked green cookies use Alma’s Culinary Company sugar cookie mix (from Walmart!). Then I cut triangles on the edges of each cookie using a small knife! Easy peasy!
Tip: If you can’t find green cookie mix, you could dye regular sugar cookies with food coloring.
Pond jello
Guys, if you need an easy treat that kids will love, check this out!
Ingredients:
2- 6 oz. Boxes of Jell-O Berry Blue Gelatin Mix
Green Candy Fruit Slices
Gummy Frogs
Directions:
-Make a pan of jello jigglers by following the box instructions.
-Once the jello is set, cut out the jello using a round cookie cutter or round shaped cup.
-Cut the green candy fruit into slices. Display two of the candy slices on top of the jello circles, to create a lily pad look. Place a gummy frog on top of that!
Quick tip: Since I couldn’t find a package of green fruit slices, I grabbed a bag of assorted fruit slices and separated out the green candies!
frog party favors
Have you tried gummy frogs before? My kids loved them! They were such a great addition to the treat bags from Paper Eskimo. Add frog stickers from Mimi’s Dollhouse to create fun look!
Frog Party tablescape
Simple is the way to go when decorating a kids’ table! Paper Eskimo made my job easy with their cute party supplies and paper goods!
To give the kids’ table a “feel of nature”, I decorated with wooden circle accents!
Can you guess my kids’ favorite party detail? The frog party favors of course! For each place setting, I set out plates, napkins, cups and a party favor in the matching color scheme!
Easy drinks station!
If you plan to set up a drinks station, my advice is to keep it simple! Grab a juice dispenser, fill it with green juice and added frog toys to create a fun look!
Cute straws always add a fun detail and my kids love them!! I can’t get over how darling the straw flags are from Mimi’s Dollhouse!
A frog themed birthday party is so easy to decorate for! It’s so perfect for a boy or girl theme. I hope you picked up a few ideas to decorate a frog themed party of your own! For more inspiration, check out kids’ birthday party ideas on the blog!
