My Mind’s Eye provided the Fall banners, party fans, & gold plates for this party!
Is there anything better than sitting around a campfire with family and friends? To make this happen, I hosted a Fall Harvest party with a popcorn bar and campfire area. I’ll be sharing easy decoration and popcorn flavor ideas!

If you are hosting a party and need to serve a big crowd, a self-serve popcorn station is the way to go! The key is to offer a variety of popcorn flavors and toppings.
For this party, I kept it simple and served up the popcorn in clear solo cups. Another fun way to serve popcorn would be treat cups from Sweets & Treats shop!
I’m a popcorn lover and I’m all for having a variety of yummy flavors! Feel free to grab my ideas or add a few options of your own.
Popcorn Bar Snack Ideas
-Caramel Popcorn
-Pumpkin Spice Kettle Corn
-Cheddar Popcorn
-Pretzels
-Pumpkin Spice Marshmallows
–Candy Corn
My main dilemma was figuring out HOW to display all the popcorn and topping. After a bit of thought, I decided on a large metal tin that I already had on hand. When I found another similar tin bucket at a thrift store, that sealed the deal.
I wanted to display two popcorn flavors in one tin so I just made a cardboard divider to separate the flavors. It was really easy!
The decorations don’t need to extravagant! When hosting a Harvest party, pumpkins are my go-to party decorations. You could decorate with real pumpkins, fake pumpkins or add snacks to a pumpkin.. whatever works!
Would it be a Harvest party if there wasn’t at least one pumpkin spice snack? Pumpkin spice kettle corn is a yummy snack and it’s so easy to make, I promise!
When I’m looking for paper goods, I like to find simple and cost effective options! I found gold plates from My Mind’s Eye shop that matched my decor perfectly.
Onto my favorite part, the decorations! My Mind’s Eye party shop made my job easy, guys! They provided me with the cutest letter banner and party fans.
They were so easy to install! The paper fans came with sticker circles that made them super easy to attach to the backdrop.
To add festive Fall accents, I decorated using Acorn/Leaf and Pumpkin banners. These were so cute and they matched the rest of my decor just perfectly.
Party Favors!
I’m a firm believer that party favors should be simple and fun! Gourds and mini pumpkins were the perfect favors for the guests to take home. Wouldn’t these be cute Fall front porch decorations?
To create a fun display, I set the gourds and pumpkins in an old fashioned crate on a hay bale. If you don’t have a crate, any sort of wooden box or container would work.
Setting up a Campfire Area!
To create a cozy space for the guests to relax, I set up a campfire area. Trust me, an inviting atmosphere really does wonders to encourage the guests enjoy their time.
Setting up a campfire area is really easy! We used our fire pit in the backyard and arranged hay bales and wooden benches around the fire. If you don’t have hay bales at your disposal, regular outdoor chairs will work fine!
When the guests arrived, they really enjoyed sitting around the campfire, roasting marshmallows and grabbing a yummy popcorn snack. All our hard work paid off!
Host a game of Sack Races!
Do you remember playing sack races as a kid? I thought it was the best! I found a few burlap sacks at a farm & fleet store that were just right for sack races. They also made a festive decoration!
To play sack races, I asked each child to step into a burlap sack. Then I had all of the kids line up side by side behind a starting point. Then each child jumped in their sack until they passed the finish line. Whoever crossed the line first was the winner.
Overall, the party was a hit with the kids and adults alike. A Fall harvest party is a fun excuse to get together with family and friends! If you need more inspiration, check out my Harvest party & s’mores station from a couple years back.
