My goal was to make creative labels that reminded me of a forest scene! So I asked my husband to cut round wooden pieces for me! If you need to buy wood slices, you could check Hobby Lobby or another craft store. Here’s what you need to make these!
Supplies:
-Round Wood Slices (3.5-4″ in length and width)
–Black Carbon Transfer Paper
–Food Label Template
-Scissors
-Pen or Tracing Tool
-Permanent Marker
Print a template
To start out, I made my labels and printed them using Microsoft Word. If your wood pieces are between 3.5-4 inches wide, feel free to use my template or create your own template using a font of your choice!
transfer the food labels onto wood
Position your transfer paper on top of the wood piece. Center your food label on top of the transfer paper and the wood!
Using a pen or tracing tool, firmly trace the words onto the piece of wood. As you can see, the words were transferred onto the wood! If the words don’t show up dark enough, you may have to try again.
darken your words
Trace over the words using a permanent marker. Repeat these steps for all of your wood pieces!
display your food labels
When you are finished, display your food labels next to your woodland party food or drinks station!
I’m really happy with the final results! These DIY woodland party food labels accented my party table perfectly! To see all of the party details, be sure to visit my daughter’s woodland animals birthday party on the blog!
