What’s better than roasting marshmallows around a fire? This year for the 4th of July, I put together a s’mores tray for my family to enjoy! A s’mores tray is perfect for a family night in the back yard, hosting guests, or camping. It’s so simple to put together!

Create a fun atmosphere
If you set up a cute space, trust me the kids will come running! To try something fun, I displayed a picnic blanket and a tray filled with s’mores ingredients!
Of course I chose the “traditional” s’mores fixens! Psst.. I also threw in a few extra goodies.
S’mores Ingredients:
–Fudge Striped Cookies
-Large Marshmallows
-Graham Crackers
-Hershey’s Chocolate
-Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups
It’s fun to mix it up and build s’mores in non-traditional ways! I will let you in on my family’s favorites!
fun WAYS TO BUILD S’MORES:
First, roast your marshmallow to a crisp, or however you like it! Then..
-Place the mallow in between two cookies
-Place the marshmallow and Reese’s peanut butter cup in between two graham crackers. Enjoy!
patriotic decorations!
Let’s get patriotic.. to jazz up my s’mores tray, I included festive decorations that I had on hand!
Need another fun idea? Add star marshmallows to the mix! I felt so bummed that I couldn’t find any at the store to use this time!
patriotic tradition!
“3 cheers for the red, white, and blue..” My kids see the 4th of July as an excuse to wear their patriotic shirts! It’s so fun to dress up for the occasion and they are ready to pose for impromptu photographs. It’s a win, win!
A s’mores tray would be perfect for a small family gathering in the back yard or a large 4th of July bash. It’s so easy to put together and perfect to carry along with if you are visiting friends or family. A s’mores tray is also a great idea for a date night at home!
What is your favorite way to build a s’more? I’d love to hear about it in the comments!
