Are you decorating a tablescape for Christmas time? If you are, I have a cute DIY Christmas centerpiece idea for you! It’s really simple to make. To create this, I started out with pine branches from my yard! I’ll be sharing the simple tutorial to show you how to make your own!
This centerpiece tutorial is a part of Day 3 of the 12 Days of Christmas ideas! I’ve joined a few of my blogger friends to bring you some fun DIY inspiration! You can find the links to my friends’ blog posts at the bottom of this post!
To create your own centerpiece, all you need are a few basic supplies:
Supplies List:
-Bucket or bin
-Floral foam blocks
-Pine tree branches
-Fake Christmas florals & berries
-Fake white florals
-Pine cones
-Ornaments
-Snow flakes
-Ribbon
-Hot glue gun
Gather Pine Branches
First off, I gathered pine branches from our pine tree in our yard. I found at least five or more nice size branches so I had a variety to choose from. Then I broke the small branches off to use them in my centerpiece.
Position Your Foam Blocks
Next, I placed 2 foam blocks in the bottom of my pail. You can find these at Walmart in a packs of 3!
Arrange Your Pine Branches
For this next step, I poked pine branches into the foam at least an inch deep. I started at the edges and positioned the branches so they laid horizontally.
Then I filled in the middle space with pine branches. Be sure to break off any branches that don’t compliment your centerpiece.
Embellish Your Centerpiece
To dress up my centerpiece, I added fake florals and berries that I found at Walmart. I poked them into the foam near the edges so they blended in with the pine branches.
To add a pop of white, I included white florals that I found at Hobby Lobby! They helped create a fun wintry look!
Red berries were just the accent I needed! They go perfect with a pine branches arrangement.
Now it’s time to add a few fun Christmas accents using hot glue! First I add a pine cone near the middle of the centerpiece.
Mini ornaments were the perfect accents to embellish my centerpiece! I already had a few in my Christmas tote so that worked out perfectly.
Next I attached white snow flakes!
Last of all, I attached small plaid bows! I’m loving the plaid look, so I had to incorporate it somewhere!
A DIY Christmas centerpiece is such an easy way to dress up a Christmas table. I hope you feel inspired to make your own!
