Blue and Brown Monkey Themed Baby Shower

Blue & Brown Monkey Themed Baby Shower

Oh the exciting news!! It’s been over two years ago and I still remember how happy I was to find out my sister was having a baby! Being the oldest of five siblings, I felt thrilled to meet my first niece or nephew. In the months that followed, my family and I kept busy planning baby shower details. I hope you enjoy my monkey themed baby shower!

Monkey Themed Baby Shower Decorations:

Ohh now I get to talk about the fun part! For any style of party, I love to get crafty by creating party decorations myself. I created a handmade scrappy banner, using items that I had already around the house, which saved on party costs! Also, I loved handpicking bright blue and brown party elements to perfectly accent my party. You can’t go wrong with bright blue!

I created an adorable DIY guestbook by buying a plain colored notebook and scrap booking the front. If you love DIY, be sure to take a look at my Hot Air Balloon Baby Shower Ideas with oodles of unique, handmade party elements.

Food & Drinks:

A delicious assortment of foods included cake, cake pops, sandwiches, bright blue jello cubes, chips & dip, broccoli salad, scones, a vegetable tray, Hawaiian punch and hot Chai Latte. My favorite party food would have to be the cutest monkey cake. I love how it turned out and it matched the party perfectly!

A baby shower wouldn’t be complete without games to provide entertainment!

  • For a simplistic and fun idea, we asked the guests to predict how many M&M’s filled the jar. The winner took the jar home!
  • To add a personal touch, we played a “Guess Who?”, a baby name game in which the guests guessed who was who from a choice of six baby photos. The baby photos were of the mommy-to-be (my sister) and all five of us siblings. Even my family members had a difficult time telling us all apart; we looked so much alike!

Baby Pictures Game

Overall, I had such a blast planning a monkey themed baby shower for my sister! I had some fun crafting unique decorations and I also got do something special for my sister.  I love to design the perfect party for the guest of honor to enjoy!
