Let’s Make Some Bark!
What toppings would you choose? I went with a mix of salty and sweet with a bat-tacular, colorful theme.
Ingredients you need:
–12 oz. Vanilla Flavored Candy Melts (white)
–6 oz. Vanilla Flavored Candy Melts (purple)
–Bat Sprinkles
–Monster Mash Sprinkles Mix
-Pretzel Bits
–Ghoul’s Mix M & M’s
Melt the White Chocolate
Preparing the bark is super easy, I promise! To start out, I melted chocolate melts in the microwave at 30 second intervals, stirring in between times.
Then I took out a cookie sheet with a piece of parchment paper on the top. Using a wooden spoon or rubber spatula, I smoothed out the white chocolate onto the pan in a rectangular shape. (1/4 – 1/2 inch thick.)
Add Toppings!
Now onto the fun part! If you have kids, this would be the perfect time to let them help out. First, I broke up the pretzels into small pieces. Then I gathered all of my toppings and placed them onto the bark.
Refrigerate Your Bark
This step made my life so much easier! By refrigerating the bark for 20 minutes, I sped up the hardening process drastically! It can be left out on the counter too but it’ll take a bit longer.
Melt the Purple Chocolate
Now it’s time to add some pizzazz to your bark! First I melted my chocolate, then I drizzled it all over my bark, slowly from side to side. *Tip: Only add a small amount of chocolate to the spoon to avoid making a blob! Been there, done that!
Refrigerate!
We are almost done! Next, I refrigerated the bark for 10 minutes to let the drizzle harden.
Cut the Bark into Pieces
Using a large kitchen knife, I gently pressed down on the bark. It broke into irregular pieces very easily!
Serve & Enjoy!
That’s all there is to making a colorful and batty bark! Now it’s time to serve up the bark to your party guests.

This is such a bright and fun Halloween treat. It looks like so much fun to make and even more fun to eat! My kids would LOVE this. Too bad they don’t like pretzels. Maybe I could try salted nuts. That salty sweet combo is awesome.
