Do you remember the good ole’ days of writing letters through snail mail? I think we should normalize that again!
Our daughter loves to keep in touch with her friends and she sends letters all the time. For her birthday, we surprised her with a pen pal kit! I just filled a container with all the snail mail essentials, plus a few fun extras!

Of course stationary is a must! Card stock and lined paper definitely get used all the time.

Labels, stamps and envelopes always come in handy! When she needs a stamp, she no longer needs to ask.

As a child, I was an avid sticker collector. Of course, our daughter loves them to, so I included a few sheets. They are perfect for decorating letters and the outside of envelopes.
White-out and post-it tabs are a couple of extras that I thought she might use.

To personalize this kit, I add custom vinyl using my Cricut Explore 3! I chose “ocean” (colored) permanent vinyl and I love how it turned out.

If your child loves to write letters, I would highly recommend gifting a pen pal kit! If they don’t, that’s ok too! A gift like this might encourage them to start. Be sure to check out more creative gift ideas on the blog!
