For each holiday, I like to put together an occasions bin. An occasions bin is a basket full of holiday supplies used to create special memories with family. Occasions by Shakira started the tradition of the occasions bin and I absolutely love it!

When I put together my basket of goodies, I used a mix of new and old supplies. Typically I save my left over partyware from previous holidays and store them away in a tote to use again. I’ve used a variety of supplies when putting together my bins. Feel free use any of my ideas below!

Sprinkles are a fun baking item to have on hand for the holidays! We like to add sprinkles to our hot cocoa, cupcakes or sugar cookies. One year I planned a cookie decorating party for the kiddos and they loved it!
I have a bunch of Christmas cookie cutters on hand to cut out sugar cookies into fun shapes. Our kids love to get involved and choose which shapes they like to make their own cookies.
