Oh the places he’ll go… When I found out that a childhood friend of mine was having a baby, I felt so excited! I felt honored to decorate for her bridal shower and I knew just the idea… a vintage hot air balloon baby shower.
My reason for choosing this theme could be a bit wrapped up in my childhood fantasy. I’ve always dreamed of riding in a hot air balloon. When I think of hot air balloons, my mind drifts back to a time when I read “The Big Balloon Race”, a children’s book by Eleanor Coerr. Here’s my dream party!
Hot Air Balloon Baby Shower Decorations:
Overall, I think outside the box and let my creative juices flow. For example, I created my own hot air balloon centerpieces, banners, and hot air balloon lanterns. My favorite elements of this party are the rustic wooden backdrop and the cloud cupcakes! I just loved to see how all the little details make a party stand out!
A baby shower wouldn’t be complete without guests to come and celebrate. Hot air balloon party favors and coloring sheets kept the children entertained while the adults enjoyed themselves and ate delicious snacks.
A guest book is a treasured keepsake at every baby shower. A hot air balloon with the guests fingerprints and their signatures served as a loving memory of all the family and friends who came to this special occasion. Check out this fingerprint guest book printable that is available on Etsy!
Lastly, I want to thank you for taking interest in my parties! As a stay at home mom, I love throwing parties and a bit of creativity goes along ways! Also, check out my blue and brown baby shower ideas for other inspiration!
