Oh the exciting news!! It’s been over two years ago and I still remember how happy I was to find out my sister was having a baby! Being the oldest of five siblings, I felt thrilled to meet my first niece or nephew. In the months that followed, my family and I kept busy planning baby shower details. Check out the details of monkey themed baby shower!
Most of all, I love to gather decoration ideas! I chose a bright blue and brown color scheme with a monkey theme. Cute accents include a burlap table runner, colorful cups and plates, a crafty guest book, a handmade It’s a Boy banner, and floating tea lights in aqua water.
Food & Drinks:
A delicious assortment of foods included cake, cake pops, sandwiches, bright blue jello cubes, chips & dip, broccoli salad, scones, a vegetable tray, Hawaiian punch and hot Chai Latte.
A baby shower wouldn’t be complete without games to provide entertainment!
- For a simplistic and fun idea, we asked the guests to predict how many M&M’s filled the jar. The winner took the jar home!
- To add a personal touch, we played a “Guess Who?”, a baby name game in which the guests guessed who was who from a choice of six baby photos. The baby photos were of the mommy-to-be (my sister) and all five of us siblings. Even my family members had a difficult time telling us all apart; we looked so much alike!
Thanks so much for stopping by!! I hope you enjoyed my monkey themed baby shower ideas!
